Wheat Adai Pradhaman

Low calorie traditional kerala delicacy.  Bored of having chapathi and dhal? This will give you a changeover from the regular routine.. This can be a dessert or a one time meal too...

 Ingredients:

For making adai:-
1 cup whole wheat flour
Salt to taste
Water

For Pradhaman:
Skimmed milk -2cup
Jaggery- 1/2 cup
Cardamom-2 (powdered)

Cashew,Walnuts, Almonds and Raisins 25 gm (For Garnishing)

Method:
  • Mix wheat flour, salt and water together to make soft dough and make it into round balls.

  • Make thin chappatis out of those balls and cut them into small squares.

  • Add this adai to boiling water. Once it is cooked drain the water and set it aside.
 
  • Melt the jaggery with water in a separate vessel. Once it is melted, take it off from stove and let it cool completely.


  • In another pan boil the skimmed milk under low flame. Add the drained adai into it and let it boil for few min and switch off the stove.
  • Finally, add the melted jaggery to milk and adai mixture,cardamom powder and mix it well.(Make sure that milk and jaggery are at room temperature)



  • Replace the contents into a serving bowl and garnish with almonds,raisins and cashew nuts.

  •  Can be served cold as well as hot.
